A Project of the San Francisco Parks Alliance & the Department of Public Works "Street Parks" Program

First Community Workshop, December 1, 2012, 1-5 PM

             Christ Church Lutheran, 1090 Quintara Street @ 20th Avenue,San Francisco, CA 94122

We all gathered in the church hall and began learning from the artists, Colette and Aileen, how to glue the mosaic pieces to the backing of the riser sections. They had already hand-crafted the individual tiles, and had completed two elements, the California Poppy and the Dragonfly. We had full-scale drawings of the steps on the floor for us the see where everything went. We had donated food for the "workers" and a bake sale to raise more money for the steps. Below are some photos of the event, courtesy of one of our planning committee photographers.
